A massive dust storm blanketed the Phoenix area on Monday, with a rolling cloud of dust called a #haboob converging on Mountain America Stadium. The National Weather service warned of gusts upwards of 60 mph as well as severe thunderstorms. Satellite imagery captured Hurricane Erin churning off the East Coast on Thursday. While it didn't make landfall, it brought "life-threatening" rip currents and rough waves along the coast, the National Hurricane Center said.
