What a start! The first time all six teams played Banana Ball and couldn’t ask for more! Epic trick plays, trick pitches and showmanship was at midseason form. So many new players and the buy in is through the roof. Seeing everyone play to have fun and put on a show was such a joy to watch. If this is a sign of what’s to come…get your popcorn ready because this year is going to be special. | Jesse Cole

The next frontier for Banana Ball. Youth sports certainly has its challenges. It’s expensive, overly competitive and often inconvenient for families. It will take a lot of work to create something that is new and different. But we believe we can bring back the fun and affordability to parents and kids all over the country. It takes putting ourselves in the shoes of our fans and focusing on one step at a time. We started on this journey by hosting camps and tournaments and learned a lot. We have

No one wanted Banana Ball. But we believed in it. We saw parts of the game of baseball that were long, slow and boring and we thought what if eliminated them. But at first we were scared. But we saw something our fans hadn’t seen yet. So we just had to build it. That was our leap of faith. No one knows what they want unti

There would be no Savannah Bananas and no Banana Ball, if it wasn’t for the Gastonia Grizzlies. I had just torn my shoulder and my baseball career was over. I didn’t know what I was going to do. But then I got offered the job as GM of the Gastonia Grizzlies. I was 23 years old, and the team only had 200 fans coming to their games and had lost over $100,000 the previous year. The only reason I got offered the job is because no one with experience and a track record wanted it. But I said, Yes! I w
