Jurors are expected to begin deliberating Tuesday in the trial of three former Memphis police officers charged with second-degree murder in the beating death of Tyre Nichols in January 2023.

After denying the motions for acquittal, attorneys are set to deliver their closing arguments in the Tyre Nichols trial.

Police reform advocates say they hope the case will show that rogue officers will be held accountable but worry an acquittal could stall their already shaky movement.
