A passenger at Tweed New Haven Airport was arrested after making a remark about having a bomb in his bag while boarding a flight heading to North Carolina on Thursday morning, according to airport officials.

A man was arrested Thursday at Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport after “sarcastically” saying he had a bomb in his bag.

Flights at Tweed New Haven Airport were delayed on Thursday for what was initially described as a “security incident.” New Haven police said that someone who boarded a plane made comments about a bomb.
