The president also purged 18 board members appointed by former President Joseph R. Biden Jr., who were scrubbed from an official roster on the center’s website, along with the chairman, David M. Rubenstein.

President Trump plans to fire several Board Members at Washington D.C.'s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and indicated that he's naming himself chairman.

The Kennedy Center is run by a 36-member board of trustees appointed by the sitting president, as decreed in the legislation that established it. Each trustee serves a six-year term, meaning that the current board includes some trustees appointed by Trump as well as President Joe Biden.
