Memphis guard Ja Morant risked further action from the NBA after making a shooting gesture with his finger during Thursday's game against the Miami Heat despite being warned earlier in the week to refrain from the "inappropriate" celebration.
“Ja Morant’s decision to once again wield a firearm on social media is alarming and disconcerting given his similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said at the time of the suspension. “The potential for other young people to emulate Ja’s conduct is particularly concerning.”
On Wednesday, news broke that the NBA was investigating Grizzlies star Ja Morant for a gesture he made toward the Golden State Warriors bench.
