Dricus Du Plessis looks to defend his middleweight title belt as Khamzat Chimaev looks to remain undefeated and claim the championship during UFC 319.

Name a better mixed martial arts fight this year than Dricus du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev. The UFC middleweight title fight headlines UFC 319 in Chicago on Saturday as 'DDP' looks to defend his crown once again.

Du Plessis has been one of the most dominant fighters over the past couple of years. Since his first fight in the UFC in 2020, the South African contestant has not lost a match, winning the Middleweight belt at UFC 290 in 2023. He has since defended the title thrice, two wins coming by decision.

UFC 319 will be headlined by a championship matchup at middleweight when Dricus Du Plessis defends his title against fast-rising wrecking machine Khamzat Chimaev. The event will also include the returns of Octagon stars Lerone Murphy, Edson Barboza, Jessica Andrade, Jared Cannonier, and Carlos Prates.

Middleweights Baisangur Susurkaev and Eric Nolan were added to the card in the featured prelim slot for their official UFC debuts. Susurkaev was a first-round winner on the Contender Series just four days ago while Nolan arrives having won four straight and eight of 11 overall in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships promotion.
