STOCKTON, Calif. — A deadly shooting in Stockton on Monday night is now being investigated as self-defense, police said Tuesday. The shooting happened around 9 p.m. along the 100 block of West Poplar Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was hospitalized and later died from his injuries.
