For the first time in 86 years, Pitt and Duquesne will meet on the football field. The neighboring universities announced the Panthers and Football Championship Subdivision opponent Dukes will open the 2025 college football season against each other at Acrisure Stadium Aug.

The Pittsburgh Panthers have added the Duquesne Dukes to their 2025 football schedule, according to an announcement from both schools Tuesday.

The Pitt Panthers are currently hosting a former blue-chip wide receiver. Pittsburgh Sports Now has confirmed that former Florida Gators four-star wide receiver Andy Jean is in town making an official visit to Pitt.
