Notre Dame basketball needed an Atlantic Coast Conference win in the worst way after losing three straight. It got one in the weirdest way at Boston College

The Boston College Eagles (10-14, 2-11 ACC) men’s basketball team lost its third straight game with a 97-94 double overtime loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-13, 5-8 ACC) on Wednesday night. The Eagles and Fighting Irish went back-and-forth for a majority of the first half. In the half, there were seven ties and three lead changes.

Notre Dame needed to end its three-game losing streak in the worst way. A struggling Boston College team seemed like the right team to do that against. It proved to be easier said than done, but the Irish got the job done with a 97-94 win in double overtime, improving their ACC Tournament prospects.
