It’s never too early to think about next season. The Pacers announced a trade as the team currently battles the Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals.

NBA draft eight days away (June 25-26, 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN), 30 teams are deep into their predraft process, working out top prospects and narrowing down their draft boards in preparation for the two-round event.

Facing a roster crunch, the Pacers have traded away the No. 23 pick in the 2025 draft to New Orleans recover their 2026 first-round pick.

This trade won't help the Pacers in the NBA Finals, but it might help keep this team together in the long run.
