Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand, with local authorities, coordinated the repatriation of 283 Indian nationals by an Indian Air Force aircraft from Mae Sot, Thailand. These individuals were made to participate in cybercrime and fraudulent activities at scam centers along the Myanmar-Thailand border.

Hundreds of Indians were repatriated out of scam cities in Myanmar through Thailand this week following an intervention by New Delhi as Cambodian authorities insisted they were intensifying their crackdown on the criminal syndicates running human trafficking networks.
