Google has confirmed that a fix is rolling out now for Pixel phones suffering from buggy lock screens in the wake of Android 16.

Google Pixel phone owners are facing serious lock screen issues, like tap-to-wake not working, and more, post stable Android 16 update.

Material 3 Expressive continues to make its way to Android with the Google Account page getting a redesign.

On a support page, Google published details of its monthly software update for July 2025. It arrives as an over-the-air (OTA) update with the build number BP2A.250705.008 for global Pixel models. The phone will automatically send out a notification once the update is available for it.

Google releases the July patch for Android 16. The update for Pixel devices is tiny, but brings, among other things, battery reduction for the Pixel 6a.

Users with impacted Pixel 6a handsets are eligible for free repairs, cash compensation, or hardware discounts.
