California wildfires continue with dry conditions and powerful winds —which are due to last through Friday — fueling at least five fires.

Despite some progress, the biggest blazes — the Palisades and Eaton fires — rage largely uncontained. On Friday evening, the L.A. Fire Department issued new evacuation orders for the Palisades fire.
