A Kenosha man and his dog were found dead at a home hours after the Kenosha Police Department investigated a possible break-in there.

Right now, a man is behind bars in Kenosha, accused of stabbing and killing a man and his dog. Investigators say Justin Tercek attacked Andrew Pfannkuche and his dog, Jake, in the house Pfannkuche recently bought and was in the process of moving into. The house was previously owned by Tercek's grandmother.

Steven Righini, of Portage, Maine, was shot by officers and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said in a statement Tuesday morning.
