Punk icon David Johansen of the New York Dolls is dealing with severe health issues including a brain tumor and cancer, that are keeping him bedridden, according to an update from his daughter, Leah Hennessey.

The beloved New York rocker also shared in a Sweet Relief fundraising post that he broke his back in two places during a fall at Thanksgiving.

David Johansen has been revealed to have Stage 4 cancer and a brain tumor, with his family launching a fundraiser to help with medical expenses.
