Storms on Thursday could start as early as 8 a.m. and be hit or miss through 7 p.m. Any storm that does develop could contain gusty winds upwards of 60 mph and golf ball-sized hail. Otherwise, expect a good mix of sun & clouds with temperatures in the 70s.

The tornado risk is low but not zero. A HIGH WIND WATCH is already out for the higher elevations of the Smokies. Highs will be in the low 70s.

A series of disturbances will bring the potential for three rounds of storms to the Mid-South with the first one moving in late tonight followed by another round Friday night and a third round Saturday.
