An Australian surfer is presumed dead after a shark attack while his girlfriend and others watched on in horror, only weeks into the couple’s six-month-long dream vacation.

The harrowing scream of a man in his 30s cleared swimmers in a Western Australian beach Monday and authorities are still searching for the surfer after he was attack by a shark. The unidentified man was only 50 meters from the shoreline when he was attacked in front of his horrified partner, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
