Christy Carlson Romano has been keeping fans updated on her recovery after being accidentally shot in the face on Feb. 8 while at a clay shooting range.

The 'Even Stevens' alum says she's "safe," but noted that a fragment is still lodged behind her eye that's too risky to remove surgically, after "another party … unsafely fired in the wrong direction.
