Former Amite High School star and current Philadelphia Eagles star receiver DeVonta Smith has made it to the Super Bowl for the second time in his first four seasons in the NFL. Smith will try to get some revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.

Super Bowl 59 will be played on Feb. 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. If the Chiefs win, the Eagles will have a Super Bowl rematch against the Chiefs. Two years ago, the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35. The Chiefs, coached by former Eagles coach Andy Reid, will be going for their third straight Super Bowl victory.

Smith specifically has been outstanding for the Eagles since being selected No. 10 overall in the 2021 NFL draft after his 2020 Heisman Trophy campaign. During his four seasons with Philadelphia, Smith has posted 343 receptions for 4,492 yards and 28 touchdowns including the playoffs.

A second-team All-SEC left tackle who transferred to the Crimson Tide in 2022 for his final season of eligibility, Steen has played four of five offensive line spots for the Eagles. Per Pro Football Focus, he played 386 snaps in 2024, and made a start for the Eagles at left guard in the NFC championship against the Commanders.
