CLEVELAND, Ohio — The best result of MLB’s investigation into Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz is that he’s cleared of all allegations that he influenced prop bets by the way he pitched in games during his 16 starts this season.

Right-hander Luis L. Ortiz, acquired from Pittsburgh during the offseason, placed on paid leave through the All-Star break as part of ongoing probe.

Cleveland’s brass insists it doesn’t have more information than what has been publicly reported: "Not something we were expecting."
