Retail giant Walmart bought Monroeville Mall, a spokesman confirmed Tuesday. But no specific plans for the 186-acre site have been released, said Mark Rickel, director of corporate communications for Walmart.

Big changes are coming to the Monroeville Mall. The once-thriving mall will soon be redeveloped after it was just sold for $34 million.
