Former U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez faces the likelihood of a long prison term when he is sentenced Wednesday for selling his once-considerable clout in Washington for gold bars, a luxury car and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash bribes.

Mendez said Trump was "right" about the legal process he went through being "corrupt" in comments outside of the courthouse.

Just after receiving a hefty prison sentence, former Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) called the prosecution against him a “political witch hunt,” before praising President Donald Trump as “right” to attack the Justice Department as politically biased.
