Albert Square shares its famous E20 postcode with the home of West Ham United, the London Stadium, and the long-running drama has seen no shortage of West Ham supporting characters, with the world-famous East London football club often featuring on sets, in wardrobe and props over the last four decades.

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has made a cameo appearance on EastEnders ahead of the show’s 40th anniversary. Bowen, 28, who is engaged to Love Island star Dani Dyer, recorded a special message for character Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick),

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen is to feature in Wednesday's episode of long-running BBC soap opera Eastenders. Bowen, 28, has links to the show which is based in London's East End where West Ham's former home Upton Park was situated, as his father-in-law Danny Dyer appeared on the show from 2013 to 2022.
