Florida (19-3, 6-3) went on an 8-0 run midway through the second half that gave the Gators a little breathing room. Despite scoring well, Vanderbilt was never able to go on an extended run to give itself separation, with its largest lead being just four points.

Vanderbilt currently sits 17-6 (5-5 SEC) and has home wins over Tennessee and Kentucky. When looking at where the game falls on the schedule, it presents itself as somewhat of a trap game for Auburn, coming between games against Florida and Alabama.

Florida sizzled from three-point range last week, shooting 42.6% (23-54) in wins over Vanderbilt and Auburn. UF's multiple perimeter threats have made the Gators hard to guard, as five different players sank 3-pointers against Vanderbilt and six different players, including forward Thomas Haugh and Sam Alexis, made 3-pointers against Auburn.
