The Wisconsin men moved up five spots in both the AP and Coaches Polls, which were released on Monday. The Badgers are 15th in the Coaches Poll and come in at No. 16 in the latest AP Poll. Auburn maintained the top spot in the AP Poll,

After stealing a win at Northwestern on Feb. 1 to close out the last week, Wisconsin parlayed a big second half against the Wildcats into some strong play the past week. A 76-64 win over Indiana on Tuesday did not reflect the extent of the control Wisconsin had over the Hoosiers for 40 minutes.

The Badgers are now the third-highest ranked team in the Big Ten. Ahead of them are Pudue (No. 7) and Michigan State (No. 11). Michigan (No. 20) and Maryland (No. 25) are the remaining Big Ten team in the top 25.

MADISON – The Wisconsin men’s basketball team was a major mover in both national polls this week. The Badgers climbed five spots in the Associated Press poll to No. 16. That is the third-largest jump this week behind No. 13 Arizona’s move up seven spots and No. 16 Ole Miss’ six-spot jump.
