When the download is complete, click the Open Amazon Appstore button. The Windows Subsystem for Android will then start to load, and depending on how fast your system is, it can take a minute or two.

Tap the Amazon Silk browser option. Slide the toggle that allows Silk to install apps from unknown sources. Now you can download and install applications from sources other than the Amazon Appstore.
