Deputies in Riverside County have arrested a man who allegedly started multiple fires earlier this week, one of which killed a person. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a report of multiple fires came in late Monday afternoon around 4:45 p.

Deputies say that the crowd gathered at intersections in Perris and hurled rocks and bottles at them on Monday.

A new prescribed burn, named North Main Wcsl, was initiated 1:06 p.m. Jan. 22 in Riverside County. The prescribed fire has been burning on federal land managed by the United States Forest Service for two weeks. Currently, there are no specifics available regarding the size of area burned or the crew conducting the prescribed fire.
