Inspectors with the New Hampshire Fire Marshal's Office are investigating a pair of recent mechanical failures on busy ski lifts. On Sunday, a chair on the Flying Bear lift at Attitash detached from the steel cable. The skier on board and the chair both fell about 20 feet onto the snow. Investigators say that the skier is now recovering.
