Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko defied a swollen right wrist to come from a set down on Friday to outwit the four-time major champion Naomi Osaka and claim her first senior tour title at the Canadian Open.

Wildcard Victoria Mboko won her first WTA title by coming from behind to beat four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in the Canadian Open final. For the second successive match, the 18-year-old Canadian had to show resilience after conceding the opening set but rallied to win 2-6 6-4 6-1.

In the National Bank Open, Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko clinched the title by defeating Japan`s star Naomi Osaka in the final. The Canadian defeated Osaka by 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the title clash. The win also marked the 18-year-old`s first-ever WTA title.
