Hustisford and Beaver Dam, both located in Dodge County, saw tornadoes briefly touch down Wednesday afternoon.
A large confirmed tornado was spotted touching down in Dougleville, Wisconsin, as captured in dramatic video footage, shared on social media by storm chasers. The video shows a large funnel cloud near a highway under the dark skies.
The team said an EF-0 tornado touched down about three miles southwest of Hustisford near the intersection of County Road e and West Hillcrest Road. It reached wind speeds of up to 70 mph. The tornado touched down at around 3:22 p.m. and ended northeast of Hustisford at around 3:36 p.m. near Grey Road and Wildcat Road.
Milwaukee, Dane, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha and Racine counties are among more than 30 Wisconsin counties under a tornado watch.
The National Weather Service is assessing the impact of a tornado that struck Dodgeville in southern Wisconsin.
3:30 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning is in effect for southeastern Columbia County, northeastern Dane County and west-central Dodge County until 4 p.m. Additional tornado warnings are in effect for western Fond du Lac County, northeastern Columbia County, northwestern Dodge County and southeastern Dodge County, also until 4 p.m.
