The volunteer-led 50501 movement — which stands for 50 protests in 50 states on 1 day — has organized several national peaceful protests since February. The group is responsible for the April 5 "Hands off!" demonstration and the June 14 "No Kings" protest.

Tens of thousands of people pledged to take to the streets in what organizers have cast as a national day of action.

Protests are scheduled into the evening across Utah, beginning with a morning gathering in the heat of St. George.
