Striker Benjamin Sesko has become the latest player to reject a move to Newcastle United this summer, but the club can still emerge with a strong attack.

Manchester United are closer than ever to finally signing Benjamin Sesko after longstanding interest in him. United first tried to sign Sesko three years ago; however, a £21million deal was already in place for the striker to leave RB Salzburg after four years in Austria.

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. The Old Trafford side have been battling Newcastle United for the 22-year-old striker, with both teams submitting offers. Newcastle initially tabled €75million plus €5m in add-ons, before raising that on Monday to at least €80m.
